How to Send Emails to a List from a Company Address in Swivel
Sending emails from a company address is the best option for larger sends and broadcast emails in Swivel. It helps improve deliverability, protects personal inbox reputation, and keeps your communication professional.
Before You Start
Section titled “Before You Start”Make sure that:
- Your company domain has been verified in Swivel.
- You have a saved contact list ready to email.
If your domain isn’t verified yet, you won’t see your company address as a sender option.
Step 1: Confirm your Domain is Verified
Section titled “Step 1: Confirm your Domain is Verified”- Go to Settings > Email Accounts.
- Check that your company domain shows a Verified status.
If it isn’t verified, complete the company email sender setup before continuing.
Step 2: Open the List You Want to Email
Section titled “Step 2: Open the List You Want to Email”- Go to Contacts > View Lists.
- Click on the saved list you want to email.
This opens the list view where you can start creating your email.
Step 3: Start a New Email
Section titled “Step 3: Start a New Email”- Click Email.
This opens the email composer.
Step 4: Select Your Company Sender
Section titled “Step 4: Select Your Company Sender”- From the Account dropdown, choose your company domain (Sendgrid) as the sender.
This ensures the email is sent from your verified company address rather than a personal email.
Step 5: Enter the Sender Display Name
Section titled “Step 5: Enter the Sender Display Name”- In the Name field, type the name you want recipients to see in their inbox (e.g., Acme Team or Jane Smith).
This is the name that appears next to the sender email address.
Step 6: Enter the Sender Email Address
Section titled “Step 6: Enter the Sender Email Address”- In the Address field, type the first part of the email address you want to use as the sender (e.g., service or info). Swivel will automatically add your verified domain (e.g., @acmesolutions.com).
When Should I Use a Company Email vs. a Personal Email?
Section titled “When Should I Use a Company Email vs. a Personal Email?”- Use your personal Swivel email for 1:1 emails or small, highly personalized lists.
- Use your company email sender for larger broadcast emails sent from Swivel.
This helps protect deliverability and keeps bulk emails from affecting personal inbox reputation.
Troubleshooting Tips
Section titled “Troubleshooting Tips”If you don’t see your company sender or something isn’t working as expected:
