Common Webhook Integrations
Learn to connect lead providers and form tools to Swivel using Webhooks, including LeadingResponse, WPForms, and Leadjig. Learn how to connect contacts to existing events with a Source Key.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Swivel can receive contacts from lead providers and form tools through Webhooks.
This article explains how to connect LeadingResponse, WPForms, and Leadjig to Swivel.
LeadingResponse
Section titled “LeadingResponse”LeadingResponse can send contacts to Swivel through a Webhook connection.
Contact your LeadingResponse representative to help set up the connection. You’ll need to provide the API Key you create in Swivel.
For instructions on creating an API Key, see Creating Contacts via a Webhook.
You may also need to provide other account information requested by LeadingResponse during setup.
Connect LeadingResponse Contacts to an Event
Section titled “Connect LeadingResponse Contacts to an Event”There are two ways to connect LeadingResponse contacts to an event in Swivel:
-
Let LeadingResponse create the event. This is the preferred option.
-
Create the event in Swivel. If you choose this option, give LeadingResponse the event’s Source Key.
Let LeadingResponse Create the Event
Section titled “Let LeadingResponse Create the Event”This is the preferred option.
LeadingResponse can create the campaign and event in Swivel as part of the import process. You do not need to create the event in Swivel first.
Contact your LeadingResponse representative to set up this workflow.
Create the Event in Swivel
Section titled “Create the Event in Swivel”You can also create the event yourself in Swivel and have LeadingResponse send contacts to that existing event.
If you create the event in Swivel, give LeadingResponse the event’s Source Key. The Source Key tells LeadingResponse which existing event to add the contacts to.
To find and copy the Source Key:
- Open the event in Swivel.
- Under Campaign, find Source Key.
- Click the Source Key to copy it.
- Send the copied Source Key to your LeadingResponse representative.
When LeadingResponse sends contacts with the Source Key, Swivel adds the contacts to the existing event instead of creating a duplicate event.
This keeps your event roster, attendance, and event reporting together on a single event record.
You can also give LeadingResponse the Event Name configured in Swivel to associate contacts with a specific event.
Contact Category and Status
Section titled “Contact Category and Status”Contacts received from LeadingResponse are created in Swivel with:
- Category: Lead
- Status: Unspecified
Guests are also created as contacts with the same Category and Status.
You can update the Contact Category and Contact Status via bulk update. For more information, see Contact Bulk Updates.
